ARTISTS STATEMENT
My preferred medium is Acrylic Paint on Canvas, using various layers and textures. I use brushes, and scrapers and any other utensils that help me create the effect that I’m looking for. However, what inspires me the most is colour. Using a range of neutral shades, then adding splashes of colour.
I love simplicity and sophistication.
After experimenting in various paint forms, I am always drawn back to abstract. My inspiration comes from every day urbane living. I see shapes, reflections, colours, shadows and textures, which come together on the canvas.
My recent paintings are of the female form. Using bold colours, these paintings display an individual sense of confidence and sophistication. Exploring the female form in a fresh and carefree way.
I enjoy the challenge of creating something different.
