LINDA SHERMAN is a contemporary artist who grew up in New Zealand but has lived most of her life in Sydney. She currently paints from her studio on the North Shore. Linda has done various studies from Still Life to Life Drawing And Abstract. She has completed a Diploma in Creative Visual Arts at The School of Colour and Design, Sydney. She is also passionate about interior design.

ARTISTS STATEMENT

My style of painting is contemporary and varies from abstract to landscape and beach paintings.
I am constantly exploring new styles of painting which helps me grow as an artist.

Summer is my favourite time of the year and I love to paint with bright uplifting colours. In my beach series, I enjoy painting beaches from above as it gives an interesting aspect as to what lies beneath. Focusing on aqua blue water, brightly coloured umbrellas and people relaxing on the sand enjoying the sun.

I enjoy painting large vibrant abstracts each with their own individual movement. All my paintings are high quality acrylic on canvas with varying depths of colour and texture. Always finishing with several coats of varnish to enhance and and protect the painting.
